UFC 235 is set for this Saturday, with Jon Jones defending the light heavyweight title against Anthony Smith and Kamaru Usman stepping up to challenge Tyron Woodley for the welterweight championship. However, there’s been some controversy in regards to the welterweight belt, or at least to former interim welterweight champion, Colby Covington.
The controversial UFC fighter has loudly voiced his displeasure over Usman receiving the title shot over him. Dana White has addressed why Covington was not chosen to fight Woodley; however, the former interim welterweight champion has still made a big commotion over the situation.
Covington ended up confronting White as the UFC President was playing a game of poker in Las Vegas, with Covington streaming the conversation live and looking to get down to the reasoning on why he’s not fighting for the welterweight belt at UFC 235:
The poker game wasn’t the only place Covington hounded the UFC President as the former interim champ was next to White’s limo, and threatened to f**k it up, which was captured by Jed I. Goodman on Twitter:
There has been no comment from the UFC President on the situation with Covington. UFC 235 takes place on Saturday, March 2 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with Jon Jones and Anthony Smith headlining.
