Will Colby Covington and Dana White fight in the octagon soon?

The Former UFC Interim Welterweight Champion will be fighting UFC Welterweight Champion Kamaru Usman at UFC 245. Should Covington win the bout, then the UFC President would present the California native with the championship belt; however, according to Covington, White will be met with a slap in the face if the UFC President tries to put the title on him (Transcript courtesy of MMA Fighting):

”I can tell you who’s not wrapping it around my waist, and that will not be Dana White,” Covington told Submission Radio “If he tries to wrap it around my waist, I’m gonna take the belt from him and slap him in the face with it.”

White and Covington’s rocky relationship has been well documented throughout the media; Once the UFC President got word of Covington's statement, he had this simple response, "Good luck with that,” White said. “He’s a big mouthed f---ing idiot.”

Not surprisingly, it didn’t take long for Covington to respond:

Despite the beef between White and Covington, the former UFC Welterweight Champion will headline UFC 245 on Saturday, December 14 against Kamaru Usman, from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
