Ahead of what could possibly be her final fight in the UFC, Cris Cyborg must deal with her boss claiming that she’s afraid of losing to Amanda Nunes.
The former UFC Featherweight Champion did a brief interview with TMZ Sports discussing her upcoming fight against the undefeated Felicia Spencer. After Cyborg states that she remains focused on her opponent at 240, the conversation does shift to the comments Dana White made about why a fight against Amanda Nunes hasn’t happened.
The Brazil native responded unsurprised by White’s comments and states that the UFC President doesn’t understand what it’s like to be a fighter because he’s never stepped inside a cage (transcript courtesy of

“You think I’m surprised when Dana says things like this? I’m not,” Cyborg said.
“I’m gonna be surprised if Dana White says something nice for me. It’s not new for me. And just challenge, I go over there and do my best. Dana White’s never stepped in the cage. He never fight before, he doesn’t know the fighter life because he’s the promoter.”
Cyborg was asked to clarify the comments that the UFC President made and she states that she’ll be happy to answer any questions once her bout against Felicia Spencer is done, but she’s purely focused on the unbeaten fighter from Canada:
“I fight Saturday and after Saturday, for sure I’m going to ask any question the media has for me. I think I have to it a step at a time, focus now on Saturday, my next fight, and my fans know who I am. My fans know if I’m scared. I’m going to [get through this fight] and then talk to media.”
