Dana White Confirms That He's Going To Give Former WWE Champion CM Punk "Another Shot" In The Octagon

CM Punk's first foray into the world of MMA didn't exactly go according to plan, but the former WWE champion is nothing if not tenacious. Now, Dana White has confirmed that he's going to give Punk another shot.

CM Punk has been training hard for what is generally assumed to be another UFC fight after his first foray into the world of MMA resulted in a humiliating loss to Mickey Gall. Up until now we haven't heard anything official from the UFC camp, but Dana White has now confirmed that the wheels are in motion.

“I like that guy. He’s a good dude,” White told The Associated Press recently (via NoDQ). “He wants one more. He wants to get another shot. I’m going to give it to him.”

When that next - and, presumably, final - shot happens and who his opponent will be is unclear, but one has to imagine there's no way in hell Punk is going to step into the Octagon again unless he's fully prepared.

Punk's trainer shared the following image to his Instagram page last night.
