Dana White Says That There's A Billion-To-One Odds That He'll Put Jon Jones On The White House Card

The former UFC Heavyweight Champion has been lobbying to fight at the upcoming White House special, but Dana White has just shut down any notion that Jon Jones will fight at the event.

Dana White is still not happy with Jon Jones.

Dana White has been on a rollercoaster ride with the former UFC Heavyweight Champion since winning the title back at UFC 285. Jones held that belt for nearly two years, but his only defense was against former UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic.

That was during the time Tom Aspinall won the UFC Interim Heavyweight title. Once he beat Miocic, Jones' next opponent had to be Aspinall to determine the Undisputed Heavyweight Champion.

The problem?

Jones just didn’t seem interested in the fight. White had been promising left and right that the bout would take place in 2025, but what he didn’t expect was for Jones to randomly retire before the match-up was made official.

Then he unretired two weeks later. Why? Jones stated that he was inspired to fight at the upcoming White House card, but Dana White shut down that notion of him fighting on that special card.

But Jones was just confirmed to be back in the anti-doping testing pool. White further dampened Jones’ dreams of fighting on the July 4th special by saying outright that the chances are extremely slim.

“Let me ask you, what do you think Jon would do in the next couple of months that would make me trust putting him on the White House card?” White said. “So I already said that I don’t trust him, and you’re asking me what could he do for me to trust him in the next three months? You don’t trust him! I don’t talk to him either. I haven’t talked to him at all. If I had to make odds, it’s a billion-to-one that I put Jon Jones on the White House card.”

Will Dana stay true to his word?

We’ll find out. The White House event is nearly a year away. Anything can change from now to July 2026. If Jones is legit about returning to the octagon then he’ll need to prove that he’s a trustworthy source again. Like White implied, it’s doubtful that the trust will happen in the next couple of months. Jones did respond to White's shut down and it's more reserved than expected.

There's a long time between now and July 2026. Anything is possible.
