It’s been confirmed that Demian Maia will return to the octagon to face Anthony Rocco Martin at UFC Minneapolis in June.
Ever since his split decision win over Jorge Masvidal at UFC 211, Maia suffered losses to Tyron Woodley, Colby Covington, and Kamaru Usman; however, Maia came back last June and defeated former Bellator champion Lyman Good at UFC Fortaleza. The Brazilian native walks into the bout with a professional record of 26 wins and 9 losses.
Since making the transition to welterweight, Martin has been on a nice four-fight win streak, defeating Sergio Moraes, Keita Nakamura, Ryan LaFlare, and Jake Matthews. Martin enters the fight with a professional record of 16 wins and 4 losses. UFC Minneapolis will take place inside the Target Center on June 29 in Minneapolis.
