This past Saturday night, Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone was in a war with Tony Ferguson; The fantastic bout between the two lightweights saw non-stop action between the competitors, with Ferguson finally getting the victory due to the doctors putting a stop to the contest.

There was initial concern regarding the “Cowboy” because his eye was completely swelled shut by the third round. UFC President Dana White stated that Cerrone suffered a broken orbital bone during the fight against Ferguson; however, the lightweight has revealed some good news, making it clear that he wasn’t injured during the match-up and is patiently waiting for his next fight:

“I’m in good health. Thanks for all the message and concerns. Only air was in my eye. No broken bones nor cracked or broken orbital. Sitting and waiting for the rematch or next fight.”

Instantly after the fight was finished, Ferguson stated that he was willing to give Cerrone a rematch because he didn’t want to win by doctor’s stoppage anymore than his opponent wanted to lose that way. It’s all up to Dana White at this point, though the UFC President is currently playing the wait and see game when it comes to both lightweight’s potential opponents.
