Featherweight Cub Swanson has another big challenge ahead as he’ll be fighting Shane Burgos at UFC Ottawa on May 4th.

The 35-year old veteran is in need of a major win as Swanson has lost his last three bouts against Renato Moicano, Frankie Edgar, and Brian Ortega. His last win was back in April 2017, when he defeated Artem Lobov via unanimous decision. The featherweight’s professional record stands at 25 wins and 10 losses.

Up and coming star Shane Burgos has made a strong impression since entering the UFC back 2016; Burgos has collected two Fight of the Night bonuses, with two of his bouts ending via TKO or submission. The only blemish on Burgos’ record is his knockout loss to Calvin Kattar. The New York native’s professional MMA record is 11 wins and 1 loss.

UFC Ottawa will feature lightweights Donald Cerrone and Al Iaquinta in the main event and take place at Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa, Ontario. The main card will air on the ESPN+ streaming service.
