A new flyweight bout is confirmed for the UFC Fight Night card on June 13th as Jordan Espinosa will take on Mark De La Rosa.
Despite an impressive victory over Eric Shelton at UFC Fight Night 148, the flyweight’s four-fight winning streak was snapped by a submission loss to Matt Schnell at UFC on ESPN 5, and Espinosa failed to bounce back with another loss to Alex Perez at UFC Fight Night 166. Espinosa has only won two out of his last five fights. His professional record currently stands at 14 wins, 7 losses, and 1 no contest.
De La Rosa is also in need of a win as the flyweight has lost three consecutive bouts against Alex Perez (via unanimous decision at UFC on ESPN 2), Kai Kara-France (via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 157), and Raulian Paiva (via KO at UFC Fight Night 167). De La Rosa hasn’t won a fight since November 2018 when he beat Joby Sanchez via split decision. His professional record currently stands at 11 wins and 4 losses.
The unnamed UFC Fight Night event will take place on Saturday, June 13 with a location and main event soon to be announced.
