Former Bellator Bantamweight World Champion gets a chance to redeem himself.
Patrick “Patchy” Mix got the chance to show the world what he could do at UFC 316 and he failed to beat Mario Bautista. Coming into that fight, the 31-year-old was on a seven fight winning streak before losing the biggest fight of his career.
But Patchy can redeem himself at UFC 320.
That is because the bantamweight will step into the octagon against Jakub Wiklacz. Despite losing his debut UFC bout, there’s a reason that Mix was the Bantamweight World Champion. The New York native has been some of MMA’s best, such as Sergio Pettis, Magomed Magomedov, and James Gallagher. Each one of those fights ended via submission or TKO. Patchy holds the most stoppage and submissions in Bellator’s bantamweight history. Can he bring that level of skill and dominance over to the UFC? Mix’s professional record currently stands at 20 wins and 2 losses.
Wiklacz is a fellow UFC newcomer who previously held the KSW Bantamweight Championship. The bantamweight hasn’t lost a fight since 2020, and comes in on a strong six fight winning streak. Wiklacz is a hot prospect who has made an impact in numerous promotions like Absolute Championship Berkut, Eagle Fighting Championship, and Konfrontacja Sztuk Walki. Wiklacz’s last fight saw him get a strong second round submission win over Sebastian Przybysz in June 2024. His professional record currently stands at 16 wins, 3 losses, and 2 draws.
The bantamweight bout joins a rather stacked UFC that features several former UFC Champions and two big championship bouts - Magomed Ankalaev is scheduled to fight Alex Pereira once again and Merab Dvalishvili will co-main event against Cody Sandhagen for the UFC Bantamweight Championship.
