Before losing to Holy Holm, Rhonda Rousey was a force to be reckoned with inside the octagon and Cat Zingo was one of Rousey's victims. Zingano lost to Rousey in 14 seconds via submission back on Feburary 28, 2015. A little over a year later, Zingano returned to the octagon to face Julianna Pena, but unfortunately the fight did not go her way and the fighter from Winona, Minnesota lost via Unanimous decision.

That was on July 9, 2016 and since then, Zingano has been away from the octagon; however, its been announced that the UFC Bantamweight will return and face the undefeated Ketlen Vieira at UFC 222 in Las Vegas. Zingano has a tough challenge ahead as Vieira is 9-0, recently submitted former UFC title contender Sara McMann at UFC 215 after winning back-to-back decisions against Ashlee Evans-Smith and Kelly Faszholz.
