A big bantamweight bout has been added to the UFC 255 line-up as former UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo will take on Marlon Vera at the upcoming pay-per-view.
Aldo is in need of a win after suffering three consecutive losses to Alexander Volkanovski, Marlon Moraes, and most recently, Petr Yan. The first-ever UFC Featherweight Champion hasn’t won a fight since UFC Fortaleza back in February 2019. Aldo’s professional record stands at 28 wins and 7 losses.
Vera bounced back by snapping the undefeated streak of Sean O’Malley at UFC 252. While his loss to Song Yadong at UFC on ESPN 8 broke a five-fight winning streak he had going in, the bantamweight’s win/loss record in his last several bouts result in wins over Andre Ewell (via TKO at UFC Fight Night 161), Wuliji Buren (via knockout at UFC 227), Guido Cannetti (via submission at UFC Fight Night 140), and Frankie Saenz (via knockout at UFC Fight Night 148). Vera’s professional record currently stands at 16 wins, 6 losses, and 1 no contest.
