Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Andrei Arlovski is set to make his return on October 3 as the veteran will take on Tanner Boser at the fight night event.
Arlovski is coming off a much-needed win over Philipe Lins at UFC Fight Night 171. While the former UFC Heavyweight Champion does own a victory over Ben Rothwell at UFC on ESPN 4, Andrei has more losses than wins in his last six fights. Arlovski hasn’t gotten any consecutive wins since his back-to-back victories over Júnior Albini (via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 120) and Stefan Struve (via unanimous decision at UFC 222). Arlovski’s professional record currently stands at 29 wins and 19 losses.
Boser is currently in the midst of a two-fight winning streak as the heavyweight has defeated Philipe Lins (via KO at UFC on ESPN 12) and Raphael Pessoa (via TKO at UFC on ESPN 14). Other than his draw against Zaur Gadzhibabayev during his time in M-1 Challenge, Boser has managed to win four out of his last five fights, notably beating Daniel Spitz (via unanimous decision at UFC on ESPN 6) in his UFC debut. Boser’s professional record currently stands at 19 wins, 6 losses, and 1 no contest.
With the addition to the card, the UFC’s Oct. 3 lineup currently includes:
Germaine de Randamie vs. Julianna Pena
Andrei Arlovski vs. Tanner Boser
Jinh Yu Frey vs. Loma Lookboonmee
Yorgan De Castro vs. Carlos Felipe
