It’s official: former UFC Women’s Featherweight Champion Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino has signed a multi-fight contract with Bellator MMA.
The news is not too surprising given that Cyborg strongly hinted that she would be signing with the promotion when she last spoke about her future in the business. Cyborg is coming off a rocky relationship with UFC; however, despite her problems with Dana White and the way the company treated the overall women's featherweight division, she was a powerhouse throughout her time in the promotion.
Aside from her fight against Amanda Nunes where she dropped the Featherweight belt, Cyborg is 6-1 in the promotion and has an overall professional record of 21 wins, 2 losses, and 1 no contest.
Cyborg expressed her gratitude towards Bellator in the video below:
At the moment, there’s no word on how many fights Cyborg is signed on for or when she’ll make her debut for Bellator. We’ll keep you updated on when the information is finally revealed.
