It’s been over a year since former WWE Champion CM Punk has fought inside the octagon. His first and only bout was back in September 2016 against Mickey Gall, and he lost very quickly via submission.
Dana White previoulsy seemed to suggest that Punk may never fight again after his disappointing showing, thus questioning Punk’s future in MMA. However, rumors have been swirling that Punk might be gearing up to fight in his hometown at UFC 225 on Saturday, June 9th.
Now, we might just have confirmation.
Punk indicated on Twitter that his second MMA fight will take place in his hometown of Chicago at UFC 225. No word yet on his opponent, but word is that he may be facing Mike Jackson, who also has a record of 0-1.
