I think it’s safe to assume that the former WWE World Heavyweight champion won’t be the next CM Punk for Bellator MMA.

The man formerly known as Jack Swagger was successful in his first professional mixed martial arts bout against J.W. Kiser on Saturday night. Hager essentially dominated the bout from the beginning, showcasing some solid wrestling and striking before ending the fight via submission thanks to a head-and-arm choke at 2:09.

“It was a matter of keeping my posture and then it was just a matter of time before I put it on him,’ Hager stated during his post-match interview after his victory. The former WWE superstar is now 1-0 in his professional mixed martial arts career.
