Frankie Edgar will make his return to the octagon, as the former UFC Lightweight Champion is set to fight Cory Sandhagen at UFC Fight Night Raleigh.

Edgar is looking to bounce back from his UFC Featherweight title fight against Max Holloway at UFC 240, where the 38-year-old lost the bout via unanimous decision. The former UFC Lightweight Champion will be making his debut as a bantamweight fighter in this match. Edgar’s professional record stands at 23 wins, 7 losses, and 1 no contest.

Since entering the UFC in 2018, Sandhagen has yet to lose a bout within the promotion, with the bantamweight fighter currently riding a seven-fight winning streak. Sandhagen has only lost one fight in his career, which was a bout against Jamall Emmers at Legacy Fight Alliance 5 in February 2017. Sandhagen's record currently stands at 12 wins and 1 loss.

UFC Fight Night Raleigh takes place on Saturday, January 25 from the PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina with Curtis Blaydes and Junior Dos Santos headlining.
