Frankie Edgar Will Now Headline UFC FIGHT NIGHT BUSAN Against Chan Sung Jung

Frankie Edgar has decided to step in and will fight Chan Sung Jung in the main event of UFC Fight Night Busan.

Ariel Helwani of ESPN first reported the change.

Jung is coming off an impressive knockout win over Renato Moicano back at UFC Greenville. The South Korea native has a mixed record in his last five fights, having also bested Dennis Bermudez and Dustin Poirier. Jung’s current MMA record stands at 15 wins and 5 losses.

The former UFC Lightweight Champion hopes to bounce back after his loss to Max Holloway at UFC 240. Prior to the Featherweight Championship match, Edgar had scored victories over Jeremy Stephens, Yair Rodriguez and Cub Swanson. The New Jersey native’s professional record stands at 23 wins, 7 losses, and 1 no contest.

UFC Fight Night Busan takes place on Saturday, December 21 from the Sajik Arena in Busan, South Korea with Chan Sung Jung and Frankie Edgar headlining.
