Gabriel Bonfim vs. Randy Brown has been added to the UFC Rio card.

Bonfim is fresh off his big win over Stephen Thompson back in July. The lightweight is currently riding a strong three-fight winning streak that saw him also beat Khaos Williams (by submission at UFC Fight Night: Cannonier vs. Rodrigues) and Ange Loosa (by unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night: Namajunas vs. Cortez).

Since Bonfim made his debut on Dana White’s Contender Series, the lightweight has only lost one fight. Gabriel’s impressive wins mostly came by submission, with 13 of those victories being by submission. His professional record currently stands at 18 wins and 1 loss.

Randy Brown is coming off an impressive knockout over Nicolas Dalby back in April. The 35-year-old earned fight of the night honors and climbed closer into the top 15 rankings. The lightweight suffered a setback when he lost to Bryan Battle at UFC 310, which shattered a three fight winning streak.

Still, Brown has won four out of his last six fights, besting Wellington Turman (by unanimous decision at UFC on ABC: Emmett vs. Topuria), Muslim Salikhov (by KO at UFC Fight Night: Dolidze vs. Imavov), and Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos (by unanimous decision at UFC 302). Brown’s professional record stands at 20 wins and 6 losses.

UFC Rio show is turning into one hell of a card that is set to be headlined with former UFC Lightweight Champion Charles Oliveira quickly stepping back into the octagon against Rafael Fiziev. Veterans Vicente Luque and Santiago Ponzinibbio are also scheduled to lock horns at the Rio event. UFC Rio is shaping up to have one of the best fight night cards of 2025. The card is still being finalized so expect more fights to be announced in the coming weeks, though it does appear that the main card has been determined.

With the new addition, check out the updated UFC Rio lineup:

  • Charles Oliveira vs. Rafael Fiziev
  • Thomas Petersen vs. Vitor Petrino
  • Karolina Kowalkiewicz vs. Julia Polastri
  • Stewart Nicoll vs. Lucas Rocha
  • Jhonata Diniz vs. Mario Pinto
  • Irina Alekseeva vs. Bia Mesquita
  • Vicente Luque vs. Santiago Ponzinibbio
  • Deiveson Figueiredo vs. Montel Jackson
  • Gabriel Bonfim vs. Randy Brown
