Daniel Rodriguez has a new opponent for UFC Fight Night: Woodley vs. Burns as the welterweight will clash against Gabriel Green on Saturday. Originally, Rodriguez was set to battle Kevin Holland on May 30; however, Holland was forced to withdraw from the bout due to injury.
Rodriguez is coming off a successful debut over Tim Means at UFC Fight Night 167 back in February. The welterweight made his name in Combate Americas, Bellator MMA, and King of the Cage. Rodriguez hasn’t lost a fight since his match-up against Victor Reyna at Combate Americas 19 in December 2017, and his current professional record stands at 11 wins and 1 loss.
Green will be making his UFC debut this Saturday, with the welterweight walking into the contest on a six-fight winning streak. Green has competed in Bellator MMA, Combate Americas, and California Xtreme Fighting, and the 27-year-old has gotten impressive wins over Richard LeRoy (via TKO at CXF 14 - Boiling Point), Chris Padilla (via technical submission at Bellator 192), and Javier Garcia (via technical submission at Combate Americas - Combate Estrellas 1). Green’s professional record currently stands at 9 wins and 2 losses.
