A big women’s bantamweight match-up has been set for a UFC show on October 3 as former UFC Women’s Featherweight Champion Germaine De Randamie will take on Julianna Pena.

De Randamie will be making her return following her loss to Amanda Nunes at UFC 245 back in December. Prior to the devastating defeat, the bantamweight was on a strong five-fight winning streak with notable victories over Holly Holm (via unanimous decision at UFC 208), Raquel Pennington (via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 139), and Aspen Ladd (via TKO at UFC Fight Night 155). De Randamie’s professional record currently stands at 9 wins and 4 losses.

Pena is coming into the contest after a win over Nicco Montaño at UFC Fight Night 155. Despite Pena’s loss to Valentina Shevchenko at UFC on Fox 23, the bantamweight has managed to win four out of her last five fights, notably beating Jessica Eye (via unanimous decision at UFC 192) and Cat Zingano (via unanimous decision at UFC 200). Pena’s professional record currently stands at 9 wins and 3 losses.

The UFC Fight Night show is confirmed for Saturday, October 3, with a location and main event set to be announced very soon. At the moment, there’s no word of the placement of the bantamweight fight.
