Rising UFC heavyweight Greg Hardy is getting another match-up very soon after his win over Dmitry Smolyakov at UFC Fort Lauderdale in April.
MMA Fighting confirmed a report from ESPN of Greg Hardy vs. Juan Adams being targeted for UFC on ESPN 4 in San Antonio. The bout has not been finalized just yet.
When Hardy made his debut with the promotion back in January, the former NFL Pro Bowler didn’t particularly leave a good impression amongst the MMA community as his bout with Allen Crowder ended in a disqualification due to an illegal knee to his downed opponent. However, Hardy quickly bounced back in his next bout by getting an impressive TKO victory over Smolyakov, moving his professional MMA record to 4 wins and 1 loss.
His opponent, Juan Adams (5-1), is looking to regain the momentum he had before his bout against Arjan Bhullar at UFC Ottawa, as the heavyweight fighter walked into the bout with an impressive 4 – 0 record before coming up short against Bhullar. His professional MMA record currently stands at 5 wins and 1 loss.
UFC on ESPN 4 is set to go down on July 20 inside the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Tex. With this latest addition, here is how the entire card stands:
Aleksei Oleinik vs. Walt Harris
Juan Adams vs. Greg Hardy
Raquel Pennington vs. Irene Aldana
