It's official, Urijah Faber will make his return to the octagon against Ricky Simon.

Several weeks ago, the former WEC Featherweight Champion made it clear that he had an itch to return to the ring by asking fans who they would like to see him fight at the upcoming Fight Night event in Sacramento. Faber confirmed how serious he was about his return on the MMA Hour, stating that he’s been tempted to return to the octagon after being offered several fights previously.

'The California Kid' hasn't fought since December 2016, in which he picked up a decision win over Brad Pickett. Prior to his final bout, Faber had lost two straight to Dominick Cruz and Jimmie Rivera, so we’ll see what condition the 40-year-old is in when he returns to the octagon in Sacramento. The UFC Hall of famer’s professional MMA record is 34 wins and 10 losses.

His opponent, Ricky Simon, is a rising star in the UFC as he’s currently dawning a 3 – 0 record in the promotion. Simon’s only lost one fight in his career, which was back in 2016 against Anderson dos Santos at Titan FC 37. His professional MMA record stands at 15 wins and 1 loss.
