Can Henry Cejudo prevent a three-fight skid?
Things haven’t been great for the former UFC Flyweight and Bantamweight Champion since his return in 2023. Aljamain Sterling killed his dreams of being the Bantamweight Champion again with a split decision victory and Merab Dvalishvili pushed Cejudo further down the card with a unanimous win at UFC 298. The 38-year-old has been in this position before as Cejudo previously lost to Demetrious Johnson and Joseph Benavidez, but he bounced back with a six fight winning streak that resulted in him becoming a two-division champion. Can he do it again?
Song Yadong is fresh off a loss to former UFC Bantamweight Champion Petr Yan. Still, in his last five fights, Yadong has won three (Chris Gutiérrez, Ricky Simón, and Marlon Moraes), with two victories coming via knockout. Should Yadong beat Cejudo then it will be his biggest win to date.
In the co-main event, Brendan Allen is looking to shake off his loss to Nassourdine Imavov. That loss broke a strong seven-fight winning streak where six of those victories came by submission.
But a rebound won’t be an easy task for Allen as Anthony Hernandez is in the midst of his own winning streak. The middleweight has won six consecutive fights, with his wins over Michel Pereira and Roman Kopylov earning him performance of the night honors. Hernandez hasn't lost a fight in five years and does hold a unanimous decision win over Allen in Legacy Fighting Alliance in 2018.
