Can Israel Adesanya get out of the skid that he’s currently in?

Israel Adesanya was on top of the world when he beat Robert Whittaker at UFC 243. Then, Adesanya was riding an incredible undefeated streak and was seemingly on his way to become the next Jon Jones. That was until his streak was shattered by Jan Błachowicz. Though he was no longer undefeated, he at least had the UFC Middleweight title around his waist.

But his TKO loss to Alex Pereira exposed the cracks in his game plan and Sean Strickland and Dricus du Plessis only cemented that Adesanya was no longer the top middleweight of the division. For the first time in his career, the former UFC Middleweight Champion is riding a two-fight losing streak and is in desperate need of a win.

That won’t be an easy task as Nassourdine Imavov is coming in hot on a three-fight winning streak. This is a huge match-up for Imavov as Adesanya is the first former UFC Champion he’s facing in the promotion so far; If he can get a strong win over the former middleweight champion then that will surely put him in the top ranks.

In the co-main event, Shara Magomedov is hoping to extend his undefeated streak to 16 wins as the UFC newcomer has impressed the masses since his debut in 2023. His jaw dropping TKO win over Armen Petrosyan at UFC 308 elevated his status and Michael Page is his biggest opponent to date.

Though Page is coming in from a loss to Ian Machado Garry at UFC 299, the former Bellator fighter is a notorious welterweight with 13 knockouts under his belt.
