Last week, the Holm/Cyborg match was at a standstill due negotiations not being reached. Holm's agent Lenny Fresquez even went so far to say that the matchup was "dead". However, despite her agent's words, negotiations continued and all sides came to an official agreement on Thursday.

Cris "Cyborg" Justino vs. Holy Holm for the UFC Women's Featherweight title is now official for UFC 219 on the December 30th card in Las Vegas.

With a record of 18-1 and a no contest, Justino won the featherweight title back in July when she deafeated Tonya Evinger via third round TKO at UFC 214. After losing her title to Meisha Tate at UFC 196, Holly Holm was on a bit of a losing streak afterwards. However, Holm bounced back with a knockout to Bethe Correia in June at UFC Fight Night.
