A featherweight match-up has been added to the fight night show as Jared Gordon vs. Chris Fishgold is set for July 15.
Gordon is hoping to regain momentum after suffering a loss to Charles Oliveira at UFC Fight Night 164. The featherweight has lost three out of his last five fights, with his wins coming over Hacran Dias (via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 119) and Dan Moret (via unanimous decision at UFC on ESPN 3). Gordon’s overall professional record currently stands at 15 wins and 4 losses.
Fishgold is also looking to rebound after failing to beat Makwan Amirkhani at UFC Fight Night 153. Since making his UFC debut in 2018, the featherweight has only managed to get one win thus far, which was over Daniel Teymur at UFC Fight Night 145. Before making his way into the UFC, Fishgold was one of the top prospects in Cage Warriors Fighting Championship and even won their respective featherweight title. Fishgold’s professional record currently stands at 18 wins, 3 losses, and 1 no contest.
The recently announced UFC card takes place on Wednesday, July 15 from Fight Island in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi with no main event announced at this time. The placement of the featherweight bout is currently unknown.
