A new lightweight bout has been added to the UFC Fight Night: Blaydes vs. Volkov line-up as Jim Miller will take on Roosevelt Roberts.
Miller is hoping to rebound after his loss to Scott Holtzman at UFC Fight Night 167. The lightweight entered the bout with some solid momentum as he won two consecutive bouts over Jason Gonzalez (via submission at UFC Fight Night 150) and Clay Guida (via technical submission at UFC on ESPN 5). Miller has managed to win three out of his last five fights, also beating Alex White at UFC 228. His professional record currently stands at 31 wins, 14 losses, and 1 no contest.
Roberts win over Brok Weaver at UFC on ESPN 9 now has the lightweight on a two-fight winning streak, also beating Alexander Yakovlev (via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 163). Roberts has only suffered one setback inside the octagon, which was against Vinc Pichel at UFC on ESPN 3 show. The lightweight’s professional record currently stands at 10 wins and 1 loss.
UFC Fight Night: Blaydes vs. Volkov takes place on Saturday, June 20 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with the two heavyweights headlining the event. The placement of the Miller/Roberts match-up has yet to be determined.
