Joanne Calderwood will be making her return to the octagon as the contender for the UFC Women’s Flyweight title is set to square off against Jennifer Maia on August 1. Originally, Maia and Viviane Araujo were going to collide; however, Araujo was forced to pull out of the bout due to testing positive for the coronavirus.

While the 33-year-old did lose to Katlyn Chookagian at UFC 238, Calderwood has won three out of her last four fights, beating Kalindra Faria (via submission at UFC Fight Night 135) and Ariane Lipski (via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 143). Calderwood’s professional record currently stands at 14 wins and 4 losses.

The 31-year-old has managed to win three out of her last five fights, with her professional record standing at 17 wins, 6 losses, 1 no contest.
