After being out of the octagon for over a year, UFC veteran Joe Lauzon will make his return and fight Jonathan Pearce at UFC Fight Night Boston, according to Marcel Dorff.

Despite getting victories over the likes of Diego Sanchez, Michael Chiesa, and Jeremy Stephens through his UFC career, Lauzon has only won one fight in his last five bouts inside the octagon, with that win coming over Marcin Held at UFC Fight Night 103 in 2017. The Massachusetts native currently has a record of 27 wins and 15 losses.

Pearce will be entering the UFC octagon for the first time on October 18, as the lightweight fighter is walking into his debut bout on a four-fight winning streak. Pearce’s professional mma record currently stands at 7 wins and 3 losses.

UFC Fight Night Boston takes place on Friday, October 18 from the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts with Dominick Reyes and Chris Weidman headlining.
