A new lightweight fight has been added to the UFC 253 pay-per-view as Johnny Walker will face Ryan Spann.

Walker is hoping to get back into the win column as the lightweight is coming in with two consecutive losses under his belt. Walker still has an impressive UFC record thus far as the Brazilian has four wins in the promotion, notably dropping Khalil Rountree Jr. (via KO at UFC Fight Night 140), Justin Ledet (via TKO at UFC Fight Night 144), and Misha Cirkunov (via TKO at UFC 235). The lightweight’s professional record currently stands at 17 wins and 5 losses.

Since entering the UFC in late 2018, Spann has managed to rack up big wins over names such as Antônio Rogério Nogueira (via KO at UFC 237), Devin Clark (via submission at UFC Fight Night 161), and Sam Alvey (via split decision at UFC 249). In total, the former LFA Light Heavyweight Champion is on an eight-fight winning streak, with Spann’s record being 18 wins and 5 losses.

UFC 253 takes place on Saturday, September 19 from a location to be announced with Israel Adesanya and Paulo Costa for the UFC Middleweight title headlining. Thus far, the placement of the lightweight bout is currently unknown.
