Will Conor McGregor’s first fight back be against Jorge Masvidal?

For months, the former UFC Lightweight and Featherweight Champion has been talking heavily about returning to the octagon in 2020. The UFC President himself confirmed that McGregor would be fighting next year, with some speculation currently stating that the former two-division champion will finally fight Donald Cerrone.

However, in a recent ESPN article, the piece questions which mega fight that McGregor should have next and lists several tops talents including a rematch with Khabib Nurmagomedov and Nate Diaz, to fights against Tony Ferguson, Nick Diaz, and of course, Jorge Masvidal.

As seen above, McGregor was quick to respond to the article by saying that he’ll fight all of them, and this isn’t the first time that “Notorious” has asked to face Masvidal, as he requested a “three piece with soda” after Masdival’s win over Diaz at UFC 244 earlier this month.

Masvidal jumped on McGregor’s response quickly by stating, “Put your money where your mouth is”:

The former two-division champion has yet to respond and we probably won’t find out McGregor’s opponent until 2020. Until then, fans will just have to continue to speculate or dream about Conor’s next opponent.
