MMA fighter Georges St-Pierres - also known as GSP - is currently retired, and as such, fighters are continuously challenging him to try and get the 38-year old fighter to step back into the octagon.
Welterweight King Kamaru Usman has already called out GSP, and now Jorge Masdival is doing the same - in the most respectful way possible. The fighter makes it absolutely clear that he wants to fight Georges St-Pierres, and he really, really wants to hurt him.
“Well, they’ve said this about me, that I resurrect fighters and then I retire them again. So, I wouldn’t mind if GSP jumped on that campaign. In all honesty, as a competitor, I want to f*cking break his face. I want to go out there and give him everything I got. But I respect the time what he’s done. He took I don’t know how many years off, came back, beat Bisping for the legitimate middleweight title."
Masdival admits that the fight wouldn't be easy, and that's exactly why he has it in his sights. He wants to train himelf to get his body and soul to the level that can surpass a fighter he respects such as Georges St-Pierres.
"Dude’s a stud. He’s a f*cking animal, bro. I would put everything into my being, into my soul, to end this individual, because he’s that good. He’s the type of fighter, this sh*t would require a nice training camp, isolation away from the world and just focus on the task, just day in and day out, cause he’s a hell of a competitor, and I’m not taking a back seat to nobody in this division. So, I would love it.”
