Kamaru Usman is still the UFC Welterweight Champion!
On Saturday, the reigning title holder defended his belt against Gilbert Burns and Usman almost left the building empty handed. Burns managed to rock Usman in the first round; however, once Usman recovered then the 170-pound champ maintained the advantage in rounds two and three before the KO.
In the co-main event, Maycee Barber dropped her fight against Alexa Grasso. The striking match turned out to work better in Grasso’s favor and she ultimately won the bout via unanimous decision. Since losing to Carla Esparza, Grasso has rebounded nicely and is in the midst of a two-fight winning streak.
