Karl Roberson vs. Marvin Vettori has officially been rescheduled for the UFC show on May 13. Originally, the middleweight bout was set for the UFC Fight Night event on Saturday, April 25; however, the entire show was cancelled due to the coronavirus.
Vettori is currently in the midst of a two-fight winning streak, with the middleweight beating Cezar Ferreira (via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night Sacramento) and Andrew Sanchez (via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night Tampa). The 26-year-old has only suffered one loss in his last five fights, which was against reigning UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya back in April 2018. Vettori’s professional record currently stands at 14 wins, 4 losses, and 1 no contest.
Roberson is also entering the contest with a wave of momentum as he’s coming off victories over Roman Kopylov (via submission at UFC Fight Night Moscow) and Wellington Turman (via split decision at UFC Fight Night Sacramento). Despite suffering losses to Glover Teixeira (via submission at UFC Fight Night Brooklyn) and Cezar Ferreira (via submission at UFC 224) in his last five fights, his professional record is a solid 9 wins and 2 losses.
The event takes place Wednesday, May 13 at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Fla. The main card is expected to stream on pay-per-view after prelims on ESPN/ESPN+.
