Another lightweight bout has been added to the UFC Fight Night show on Sept. 5 as Ottman Azaitar will take on Khama Worthy at the upcoming show.
Azaitar enters the contest on a hot streak as the lightweight is currently in the midst of a strong 12-fight winning streak. The 30-year-old made a successful debut against Teemu Packalen at UFC 242 and managed to win the last four bouts via knockout. His other victories comes from his time in Brave Championship Fighting, German MMA Championship, and Fair Fighting Championship. Azaitar’s professional record currently stands at 12 wins and 0 losses.
Worthy comes in with some momentum himself as the lightweight is currently on a seven-fight winning streak, dropping Devonte Smith (via TKO at UFC 241) and Luis Pena (via submission at UFC on ESPN 12). He’s also beaten top tier fighters in Pinnacle Fighting Championships, 247 Fighting Championships, and Made Men Promotions. His professional record is 16 wins and 6 losses.
The UFC Fight Night show on Sept. 5 will be headlined by a heavyweight match-up between Alistair Overeem and Augusto Sakai. The placement of the lightweight bout is currently unknown.
