Leon Edwards is not happy about Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz potentially fighting once again.
Since their backstage incident at UFC Fight Night London, Edwards has been trying to get a fight against Masvidal; however, “Gamebred” just doesn’t seem interested in stepping into the octagon against him.
Masvidal expressed his desire to get back into the UFC Welterweight title hunt earlier this month and Edwards tried to call out the Florida native, but Masvidal never responded. With Dana White himself confirming that Diaz vs. Masvidal II is in the works, the 29-year-old took the time to blast the possible match-up:
Like his previous posts on Masvidal, “Gamebred” hasn’t responded to Edwards latest post. As previously mentioned, the UFC President confirmed that the potential money fight is in the works, though nothing is set in stone (Transcript courtesy of MMA Junkie):
“(Masvidal) wants to defend it against Diaz,” White said. “They were the first two to fight for it. You know what I mean? They were the guys that fought for it. He wants to put it up versus Nate again.”
Reports state that the bout could take place in January 2021, with the BMF title on the line. As always, we’ll keep you updated on this story.
