Lerone Murphy Extends His Undefeated Streak At UFC KANSAS CITY

Lerone Murphy remains undefeated.

Lerone Murphy was coming off exciting back-to-back wins over veterans Edson Barboza and Dan Ige. He kept that momentum going by getting the victory over Josh Emmett.

The fight wasn’t completely lopsided as Emmett was a trouble for the featherweight earn on, but Murphy had a counter for Emmett’s strategy as the fight went on. He fended off most of Emmett’s wrestling moves, and picked away at him with shots to the stomach, thigh and front kicks, and elbows.

Murphy maintains his perfect record as he’s now 16 wins, 0 losses, and 1 draw. Unfortunately for Emmett, he’s back in the losing column and his record is currently 19 wins and 5 losses.

The co-main event was quite different as Pat Sabatini dominated a good portion of the fight. It wasn’t the most exciting co-main event, but Sabatini’s performance proved that he was one of the top featherweights as he effectively shut down Joanderson Brito. Sabatini’s record now stands at 20 wins and 5 losses. Where as Brito’s record is currently 17 wins, 5 losses, and 1 no contest.
