A light heavyweight fight is set for UFC Fight Night Sao Paulo, as Mauricio Rua will fight Sam Alvey.
The former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion is looking to build momentum after his win over Tyson Pedro back in December 2018. The UFC veteran has won four of his past five fights, with those wins being over Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, Corey Anderson and Gian Villante. Rua’s professional MMA record stands at 26 wins and 11 losses.
Alvey comes into the fight looking to bounce back after suffering three back-to-back losses against Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, Jim Crute and Klidson Abreu. Despite the recent string of setbacks for the California native, Alvey still holds an impressive record of 33 wins, 13 losses, and 1 no contest.
UFC Fight Night Sao Paulo takes place on Saturday, November 16 from the Ibirapueroa Gymnasium in Sao Paulo, Brazil with Jan Blachowicz and Ronaldo Souza headlining.
