A new light heavyweight contest is set for UFC Fight Night Kazakhstan as Klidson Abreu will take on Gadzhimurad Antigulov.
Abreu is hoping to jump back into the win column after suffering a disappointing loss to Shamil Gamzatov at UFC Fight Night 163. Prior to his spilt decision loss, the light heavyweight had a mixed record with a win over Sam Alvey; however, he lost his debut bout against Magomed Ankalaev at UFC Fight Night 145. Abreu's current professional record stands at 15 wins and 4 losses.
Antigulov is in need of a win after suffering back-to-back losses to Michał Oleksiejczuk and Ion Cuțelaba. The light heavyweight came into the promotion hot by getting a submission win over Marcos Rogério de Lima at UFC Fight Night São Paulo back in 2016; however, his total record within the UFC is 2-2. Antigulov’s professional record currently stands at 20 wins and 6 losses.
UFC Kazakhstan is expected to take place on June 13 at Astana Arena in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan with Marlon Moraes and Petr Yan reportedly headlining. The event has not been officially announced by the promotion.
