This Saturday, UFC will host their annual fight night event in Sacramento with Urijah Faber making his return to the octagon after a nearly three-year absence. The UFC Hall of Famer is set to fight Ricky Simon. The show will be headlined with a women’s bantamweight match-up between Germaine de Randamie and Aspen Ladd.

However, one bout that won’t be taking place is the lightweight fight between Beneil Dariush and Drakkar Klose. UFC officials confirmed that the bout has been scrapped from the card due to Beneil Daruish suffering an injury (transcript courtesy of mmafighting.com):

“Due to an injury suffered by Beneil Dariush, his lightweight bout with Drakkar Klose on this Saturday’s UFC Sacramento card has been cancelled,” UFC officials wrote in a statement.

“The card, which airs live on ESPN+ and is headlined by the bout between Germaine de Randamie and Aspen Ladd, will proceed at scheduled with 12 bouts.”

It’s unknown what injury Dariush suffered or how long the recovery process will take. Check out the full advertised card below:
