A featherweight bout is confirmed for UFC 244, as Shane Burgos will be fighting Makwan Amirkhani.

Burgos is coming into the fight with some solid momentum, as the featherweight is on a two-fight winning streak. The New York native has only suffered one loss in his professional career, and that was against Calvin Kattar at UFC 220. Burgos’ current mma record stands at 12 wins and 1 loss.

Amirkhani is also on two-fight winning streak, besting Chris Fishgold and Jason Knight. The Iran native has only lost one fight under the UFC banner, which was against Arnold Allen back at UFC London in 2017. Amirkhani’s current standing is 15 wins and 3 losses.
