Malcolm Gordon will be fighting next week after all.
Originally, the flyweight was set to take on Aleksander Doskalchuk; however, Doskalchuk was forced to withdraw from the bout for undisclosed reasons. Amir Albazi will be stepping in to take on Malcolm Gordon.
Albazi will be making his UFC debut on July 18th as the flyweight is currently coming in with 12 wins on his professional record. Albazi made a name for himself in Bellator MMA, Brave Combat Federation, FightStar Championship, and Ultimate Challenge MMA, with the 26-year-old notably beating Ryan Curtis, Iurie Bejenari, and Niko Gjoka. His professional record currently stands at 12 wins and 1 loss.
Gordon will also be making his debut for the promotion on July 18 as the flyweight comes in hot with a four-fight winning streak. The 30-year-old has fought in TKO Major League MMA, Warfare Xtreme Cagefighting, Prodigy MMA, and Bellator MMA. His professional record is 12 wins and 3 losses.
