A new lightweight bout is set for the upcoming fight night card on July 18 as Marc Diakiese will take on Alan Patrick.

Diakiese is currently in the midst of a two-fight winning streak as the lightweight has beaten Joseph Duffy (via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 147) and Lando Vannata (via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 160). He managed to bounce back after suffering three losses against Drakkar Klose, Dan Hooker, and Nasrat Haqparast. Diakiese's professional record currently stands at 14 wins and 3 losses.

Patrick is looking to get back on track after failing to beat Scott Holtzman at UFC 229. The devastating loss broke the lightweight’s momentum, who entered the bout on a three-fight winning streak by dropping Damien Brown (via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 85), Stevie Ray (via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 95), and Damir Hadzovic (via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 125). Patrick’s professional record currently stands at 15 wins and 2 losses.

The recently announced UFC card takes place on Saturday, July 18 from Fight Island in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi with no main event announced at this time. The placement of the lightweight is currently unknown.
