Marlon Moraes will make his return to the octagon as expected; however, the bantamweight is set to battle Cory Sandhagen at the UFC Fight Night show on October 10.
Moraes is coming off a huge victory over former UFC Bantamweight Champion Jose Aldo at UFC 245. Other than his loss to Henry Cejudo at UFC 238, Moraes has won four out of last five fights, also beating Aljamain Sterling (via KO at UFC Fight Night 123), Jimmie Rivera (via KO at UFC Fight Night 131), and Raphael Assunção (via submission at UFC Fight Night 144). The New Jersey native’s professional record stands at 23 wins, 6 losses, and 1 no contest.
Sandhagen's undefeated streak in the UFC ended thanks to Aljamain Sterling at UFC 250. Still, the bantamweight has gotten impressive victories over Austin Arnett (via TKO at UFC on Fox 27) , Iuri Alcântara (via TKO at UFC Fight Night 135), Mario Bautista (via submission at UFC Fight Night 143), John Lineker (via split decision at UFC Fight Night 150), and Raphael Assunção (via unanimous decision at UFC 241). Sandhagen’s professional record currently stands at 12 wins and 2 losses.
Thus far, no location or broadcast details have been announced for the fight night event. The Bantamweight match-up is set to headline the entire show.
