A new bantamweight bout has been confirmed for the UFC show on Dec. 19 as Marlon Moraes will take on Rob Font at the event.

Moraes is fresh off a loss to Cory Sandhagen at UFC Fight Night 179. Still, the bantamweight has won three out of his last five fights by beating Jose Aldo (via split decision at UFC 245), Jimmie Rivera (via KO at UFC Fight Night 131), and Raphael Assunção (via submission at UFC Fight Night 144). The New Jersey native’s professional record stands at 23 wins, 7 losses, and 1 no contest.

Font will be making his first appearance in 2020 and the bantamweight is currently in the midst of a two-fight winning streak thanks to his wins over Sergio Pettis (via unanimous decision at UFC on Fox 31) and Ricky Simon (via unanimous decision at UFC on ESPN 7). Overall, Font has won three out of last five fights, also beating Thomas Almeida at UFC 220. Font’s professional record currently stands at 17 wins and 4 losses.

The UFC Fight Night show will take place on Dec. 19 with a main event set to be confirmed soon. The placement of the bantamweight fight is currently unknown.
