Michel Pereira wants to be crowned the next BMF Champion.

The rising UFC prospect is coming off a strong win over Zelim Imadaev at UFC Vegas 9. The bout really highlighted Pereira’s striking ability and got the welterweight a much-needed win as he was on a two-fight losing streak prior to his victory over Imadaev.

Following his bout, Pereira called out one of the top welterweights of the division, Jorge Masvidal, and Pereira has his sights set on the BMF Championship as well, "Dana White, Sean Shelby, I want the BMF belt," Pereira said in the post-fight interview with Jon Anik. "Jorge Masvidal, be ready; you are next. AH! WOO!"

At the moment, it appears that Masvidal will be fighting Nate Diaz once again. That bout is being scheduled for early 2021, so it’s highly doubtful that Pereira will get a chance to square against “Gamebred” any time soon.

As of this writing, Masvidal hasn’t responded to Pereira’s callout.
