Mickey Gall is officially off UFC Vegas 11.

The bantamweight was looking to make his return this Saturday night against Miguel Baeza; however, the bout has been scrapped due to Gall suffering an undisclosed injury during training. The 28-year-old revealed the news on Instagram:

I want to let everyone know I will no longer be fighting on the 19th. I suffered an injury while training my ass off for this fight. I tried pushing through but had to make the tough decision after mri results. Apologies to my opponent Miguel Baeza I promise to honor the agreement at a later date. Big thanks to my team @ljreboli @david_adiv @therealdorianprice @defrancosgym @gracienjacademy @acw_coach @badger_gracienj @ogbillydee @jamiegall22 and many more we put in a lot of hard work this camp I’m very grateful for you all and can’t wait to do it again. This would’ve been Gall’s second appearance inside of the octagon in 2020 as the bantamweight fought Mike Perry back in June. The New Jersey native was looking to get back into the win column as he lost the bout via unanimous decision.

As for Baeza, he’ll remain on the fight night card as UFC officials are currently searching for a replacement, though there’s no word on who may step in to replace Gall. This Saturday’s UFC Vegas 11 event will see former UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley and Colby Covington clash in the main event. Donald Cerrone is set to make his third appearance in 2020 to take on Niko Price.
