A new welterweight bout has been added to the UFC Fight Night: Poirier vs. Hooker event as Mike Perry will face Mickey Gall.
Perry is in desperate need of a win as the welterweight has lost two consecutive bouts to Vicente Luque (via split decision at UFC Fight Night 156) and Geoff Neal (via TKO at UFC 245). Perry has won only two out of his last six fights, besting Paul Felder (via split decision at UFC 226) and Alex Oliveira (via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 150). His professional record currently stands at 13 wins and 6 losses.
Gall is coming off a solid win over Salim Touahri at UFC on ESPN 5, and the welterweight has managed to get three wins out of his last five fights, also beating George Sullivan (via submission at UFC Fight Night 135) and Sage Northcutt (via submission at UFC on Fox 22). Gall’s professional record currently stands at 6 wins and 2 losses.
UFC Fight Night: Poirier vs. Hooker takes place on Saturday, June 27 and a location is set to be announced soon. The two lightweights will headline the show, though the placement of the fight between Mickey Gall and Mike Perry has yet to be determined.
