Unfortunately, Mike Davis is forced to pull out of his fight against Giga Chikadze at UFC Fight Night Norfolk due to injury. The nature of the injury is being kept secret at the moment.

The news was first reported by MMA Junkie and it’s unknown how long the New York native is expected to be out of action. Davis is coming off a TKO victory over Thomas Gifford back in October, which extended his professional record to 8 wins.

As for his opponent, UFC officials are currently searching for a replacement; however, there's no word on who could potentially step in to fight Chikadze. The Georgia native enters the fight night event on a solid three-fight winning streak, besting Brandon Davis, Damien Manzanares, and Clay Baines. We’ll keep you updated should a new opponent step up and fight Chikadze.

UFC Fight Night Norfolk takes place on Saturday, February 29 from the Chartway Arena in Norfolk, Virginia with Joseph Benavidez and Deiveson Figueiredo headlining. The card also features a bout between Zarah Fairn dos Santos and Felicia Spencer and Chas Skelly vs. Grant Dawson.
